AS/NZS 60598 covers the general requirements and tests for light fittings, including various specific types like road and street lighting (AS/NZS 60598.2.3), portable luminaires (AS/NZS 60598.2.4), and floodlights (AS/NZS 60598.2.5).

AS/NZS 1158 deals with the lighting of roads and public spaces, including performance and design requirements for vehicular and pedestrian traffic areas. Compliance ensures adequate illumination levels, uniformity, and glare control for safety and visibility.
