REMOTE / OFF-GRID SOLAR SYSTEM - Garie Beach, NSW
Situated an hour south of Sydney, Garie Beach is a wonderful place to enjoy a picnic and is great for swimming, whale watching, fishing, surfing and walking options.
The beach surf lifesaving clubhouse itself is located deep within the surrounding Royal National Park where access to mains power is impossible.
Solar Power Australia installed an off-grid solar power system for the building in 2007.
In 2016 an additional building was added and the club was upgraded to 40kW of PV and 170kWh of battery storage to suit the increased load.
