Morisset Hospital resides on a peninsula with main access via a secure automated gate.

Due to the distance from mains power, Solar Power Australia was commissioned to design and install a complete autonomous solar power solution to provide power to the gate.

The system includes 16 x Solar Panels mounted on a custom 3m high frame to avoid shade from surrounding trees, along with a 48V High Capacity Battery Bank to provide suitable backup power for year-round operation.

The system has been providing reliable power to the gate since July 2019.
